Taekwondo Intensive
June 27th - July 1st |
Warrior's Way Day Programs All of our day programs run from 1-3.30pm Monday through Friday. For each week we highlight a different warrior from history from Pirates to Robin Hood to Ninjas. A very active and educational program for kids aged 6-13. Each day has a significant portion dedicated to active movement and arts and crafts. All programs are $150 per child per week. Download the application here. For those of you whose children are also Monthly members, your children are welcome to stay after the program to participate in any of the afternoon classes that are normally open to them with his or her membership. This means if your child is in the 4pm Taekwondo class (or would like to be) he or she is welcome to stay for that class. |
This is a great opportunity for current Taekwondo students to put in some serious training time and for new students to get a good solid foundation in a short number of days. This will be in depth Taekwondo training with hard drills, board breaking, and plenty of fun Taekwondo games. (And maybe a little dodge ball) |
| Pirate
Week
July 11th-July 15th |
Always our biggest hit, Pirate week this year is going to be the best ever. We’ll be making foam swords for battle and costumes out of old pants and paint. Throw in some treasure maps, some gold and a few “ARRRR’s” and we are ready for sailing the high seas.
| Robin
Hood Week
July25th-July 29th |
Robin Hood week is spent learning about this famous English outlaw. We talk about his character in history versus literature and will engage in plenty of safe archery battles. The kids will build their bows and arrows (safe arrows of foam) and will thus learn archery skills in a safe way. This week is a great opportunity to see Sherwood Forest in Maynard.

| Knights
Week
Aug. 8th-Aug. 12th |
Knights week is one of our most interesting weeks. We build and paint shields and study the heraldry of each students’ family name finding a familial crest when available. Add all of that to jousting and sword fighting and it makes for a fun and educational week. In the past, parents have been as fascinated as the kids in what we study.
| Ninja
Week
Aug. 22nd-Aug. 26th |
During Ninja week we spend our time learning about this 14th century covert group of martial artists. Everyone loves ninjas and during this week we make safe shuriken (ninja stars) and nunchaku. We also will study some of the martial techniques developed by the ninja. A great finish to the summer. |
